Renting a dumpster for the first time can be anxiety inducing, so it’s important to know what questions to ask before you commit to a dumpster rental. Our team is asked many of the questions below on a daily basis, so we’ve decided to give you the rundown…
Is there anything I can’t put in a dumpster rental?
There are some things that you cannot legally throw away in a dumpster due to local ordinances and laws. Most dumpster rental companies will have suggestions about what and how to throw away certain things like household cleaners, mattresses, tires, TVs, fridges, and more. Some dumpster rental companies in Southwest Florida won’t take these things, but some will for an extra fee. Be transparent about what you’re disposing of to avoid surprise fees.
Is there a discount for a long-term or recurring dumpster rental?
If you’re interested in a recurring dumpster rental, make sure you communicate that from the get-go. This may mean a discount for repeat business. Our standard pricing includes a 14-day rental, with a daily charge activated for every day over two weeks. Give us a call at (239) 992-6219 to let us know how we can help you and to get pricing information for a specific project.
How long is the dumpster rental for? And what’s the turnaround time?
Each dumpster rental company in the Naples and Bonita Springs area has different turnaround times. Knowing how long your dumpster rental period is for and how often it can be changed out will reduce unexpected charges. Our dumpster rental period is two weeks, with a per diem charge every day following. We can usually deliver or switch out a dumpster on the same day, as long as we’re notified before 1PM. If not, next day delivery is an option.
How much is a dumpster rental?
Most dumpster rental companies charge based on a variety of factors: size of dumpster, weight, and distance. Make sure you’re upfront about your project details to avoid hidden fees. Our typical 14-day dumpster rental in Naples is $350, which is $25 per day. This includes 2,000 lbs. Based on additional information – like extended/recurring rental periods, travel, tonnage, etc., – rates may be altered.
How do I pay for the dumpster rental?
It depends! But for us it’s a credit card or a check mailed to our PO Box. Our team invoices daily, although some customers have made special arrangements and are billed monthly.
Am I allowed to place a dumpster at my home?
If you live in an HOA, you should check the rules to see if there are any special rules about size restrictions or overnight dumpster rentals. Our team likes to work alongside HOAs to ensure the best possible experience. That may even mean dropping a dumpster off in the morning and picking it up again in the evening to comply with best practices.
